Driving at night is not recommended by Melbic Car Rentals due to the increased risk of accidents. We recommend that you plan your travel during the day.
In case of an accident, the renter has to pay the full excess as stipulated under the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. By choosing to pay a collision damage waiver, the excess amount payable is reduced as is indicated under the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.

Prior arrangements must be made with Melbic Car Rentals, as we have to give you a Letter of Authorization to take vehicles outside of Namibia. Extra cost may be charged if the vehicles are not returned to our office since it will not be available for rental until returned. It is the renter’s responsibility to return damaged vehicles outside Namibia to within the borders of Namibia.
You need a full driver’s licence which is valid in your country of residence. An international driver’s licence is also required if your driving licence is not in English.
We offer transport from and to the Airport free of charge as it is part of our services. You however need to supply us with your flight details. There will be a representative from our company at the airport to meet you and bring you to our office.
Your booking will be confirmed once a deposit has been paid and confirmed. A deposit of 30% is required beforehand. No cheques will be accepted. You will receive a booking reference number once your booking has been confirmed. The full rental amount, as quoted, must be paid in full upon commencement of the rental.
