In case of an accident, the renter has to pay the full excess as stipulated under the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. By choosing to pay a collision damage waiver, the excess amount payable is reduced as is indicated under the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.
Prior arrangements must be made with Melbic Car Rentals, as we have to give you a Letter of Authorization to take vehicles outside of Namibia. Extra cost may be charged if the vehicles are not returned to our office since it will not be available for rental until returned. It is the renter’s responsibility to return damaged vehicles outside Namibia to within the borders of Namibia.
We offer transport from and to the Airport free of charge as it is part of our services. You however need to supply us with your flight details. There will be a representative from our company at the airport to meet you and bring you to our office.
Your booking will be confirmed once a deposit has been paid and confirmed. A deposit of 30% is required beforehand. No cheques will be accepted. You will receive a booking reference number once your booking has been confirmed. The full rental amount, as quoted, must be paid in full upon commencement of the rental.

not a Tar Road but a Salt Road (In future it will be a tarred road). This Road falls under the Category of not

limits imposed by government or any local authority for any specific stretch of
the road. By not adhering to the Speed Limit as set out by LESSOR all Collision
Damage Waiver cover will be revoked.

the clutch is depressed! Automatic vehicles must be in neutral.
By using the 4x4 mode incorrectly/permanently, the Client will be liable
for the full cost of any damages.
RENTER shall not be entitled to drive:

RENTER undertakes not to:

discretion avail a vehicle and only if a substitute vehicle is available.

3: Limited CDW of N$260 payable per day. Excess blocked up to but not limited
4: Super CDW of N$350 payable per day. Excess blocked up to but not limited to
1 & 2 excludes tyres and windscreen cover
The excess amount blocked, as indicated in the different options will be
reserved on the credit card on the day of the rental for damages. Upon return of the vehicle, should there be
damages caused by negligence of the RENTER, the LESSOR reserves the right to set
off any reasonable amount for any cost of damages or loss irrespective of the
excess option. Should no damages be
reported upon inspection of the vehicle during the return of the vehicle, the
excess option blocked will be released after 3 working days from date of
returning the vehicle as a full mechanical inspection must still take place. The Credit Card Authorisation form refers. 14.3 IN THE CASE OF NEGLIGENCE OF
THE DRIVER, DAMAGES TO THE VEHICLE WILL NOT BE COVERED BY THE COLLISION DAMAGE
WAIVER REFER TO CLAUSE 8.3.2 of Annexure
A. 14.4 The DRIVER needs to report
ANY accident or DAMAGE to the vehicle to the police and to the LESSOR within 24
hours after the damage or loss occurred. 14.5 In the case where another vehicle or animal has damaged the vehicle, the
RENTER is responsible to collect as much evidence as possible for the LESSOR’s
insurance purposes. 15. Tracking
It is recorded that the vehicle is fitted with a Tracking device and
that routes and vehicle speed, amongst others, are strictly monitored. The
LESSOR will receive a Notification from the GPS Tracker installed in the
Vehicle in the case of speeding. By
repeatedly ignoring the warning signal, the rental agreement is breached,
resulting in the Collision Damage Waiver to be revoked. Should the RENTER temper or damage the Tracking Device, a penalty fee
of N$5,300.00 will be charged.
15.1 EMERGENCY PHONE to be switched on and
charged at ALL times in order for the RENTER to contact the LESSOR in case of
emergencies and for the LESSOR to communicate to the RENTER in case of breach
of contract. 16. Vehicle drop off On the day of
return, the LESSOR or its agent will inspect the vehicle. The LESSOR
reserves the right to only declare the Vehicle being in order after a full cleaning
and mechanical inspection of the vehicle, as well as a complete inspection of
the camping equipment has been done. In
case of loss or damage caused to the vehicle due to negligence, the RENTER will
be informed what the cost of the damage is and will be obliged to settle
payment immediately. After a full mechanical inspection, the RENTER will be notified
what the cost of the damage is via E-mail within 3 working days after the
vehicle has been returned. The LESSOR reserves the right to set off payment for
any cost of damages or loss as referred to in terms of Clause 14 of this Rental
Agreement and Clause 8 of Annexure A against the credit card of the RENTER.

14.1 The RENTER will remain liable for ALL DAMAGES
to the vehicle not covered by the CDW – for example but not limited to chipped
tyres, deep scratches, under body damage, etc.

is not covered by the CDW, should no damages be reported upon inspection of the
vehicle during the return of the vehicle, this amount will be released.
14.3 The CDW further excludes damages to the underbody or sandblast. In
the case of gross negligence, damages to the vehicle will not be covered by the
collision damage waiver.
14.4 The DRIVER needs to report any accident or damage to the vehicle to
the police and to Melbic Car Rentals Tours & Transfers within 24 hours
after the damaged occurs. If the DRIVER did not report as such, upon return of
the vehicle, the DRIVER will be informed what the estimated cost for damages
are and payment will be required immediately.
